    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

atrainer, I installed this lift in my garage back on page 12 (in June of 2010) and am still using it weekly. It has lifted many different vehicles without any issues at all. I use it for everything from vehicle maintenance, lawnmower/snowblower/garden tractor work, building tables for various...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Nope. Original installed lift was an "Ever-Eternal EE-6503" that was meant for in-floor installation. The Greg Smith lift is surface mounted and driven over if you watch their video. I've had my EE-6503 in for a few years and use it whenever I can. Lane

    Garage Floor Plan Critique

zeug; Always more! I wouldn't build anything less than 50'long (currently planning my next building at 66' long!). Most motorhomes or 5th wheels currently max out @ 45'. If you ever plan on upgrading, this should be the shortest you should consider (you should be able to walk around your...

JDishong, If you have a hydraulics shop near you, have some longer lines made up to move the control box further away. Just a word of warning to everyone: the fitting used on these lifts have no direct replacements here in North America. I had to have my hydraulic hoses cut and SAE fittings...

Duane, Looks great! How do you like using your lift so far? I use mine quite often as saw horses or work stations, really handy and quickly adjustable. Lane

Where did you learn to weld?

Started in HS in the mid '70's. After a 3 Year apprenticeship, I've had my Journeyman Ticket since 1981. Left the trade about 1988 for computers and have been doing that ever since. I play at MIG and TIG in the garage (did some aluminum TIG last week, first time in about 28 years!). Lane

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

That would be me! And, just to ignite a little war, I've actually never gotten around to bolting my lift down yet! (Okay guys, flame away with all your safety warnings!). I've never come close to moving a vehicle on the lift itself while wrenching or whatever. While we're at it, if you leave...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The ASYLUM - Happy 40th Birthday to Me! (Est. 2005)

Shopnut, Instead of fabbing a cover for the slide`s, would it be possible to install them on the top of the window instead of the bottom? (hanging upside down). I realize that you would then be able to see them from the floor, but it would eliminate or at least limit the amount of dust or rain...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

jimdi4, When I purchased mine, I had to send a bank draft directly from my bank to theirs in China for the purchase amount. It was really simple. As far as pics, there are a few on here: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/577976467uGZtdQ Lane
