    Lifting from metal roof beams

I won't be doing anything without consulting an engineer. I was mostly looking for input from someone who works with them often, and I got that. Thanks!

    Lifting from metal roof beams

I was giving myself a large margin with the 1000 pounds. I'm in nh and we get considerable snow. I thought maybe another 4-500 lbs spread between two beams from the top wouldn't be completely out of line. It would mostly be used for stuff 1-200 pounds. I have a cherry picker. But I like having...

    Lifting from metal roof beams

I'd like to add a chain hoist for lifting stuff up to a 1000 pounds. The shop has a flat steel roof with triangulated metal beams. How much can I lift from these? shear factor of studs in concrete?

My plan was to use a plate and four studs. I dig the idea of the ****** block anchor outside the door. Ill def be adding that to the project. Also by "dead vehicles" I meant ones that will roll and ones that will not. I specifically need the capability to pull in a vehicle with wheels that...
