I don't know how hinge-sighting drills are sized. Are they sized by the drill bit diameter or by the sleeve/guide diameter?
I have a broken-off M10 automotive steel bolt that has broken off 1/4" down the threaded hole of the aluminum transmission case. When the bolt broke off it took with it...
I ended up getting a Paasche D3000R for $129 (List price over $190 at the Paasche website). It's quiet enough at 47 dB and the tank at a 3/4 gallon is okay.
Once I start reading the reviews it turns out they are generally all over the place. Leaky hoses, fittings that don't fit, couldn't be better. If only we had a local hobby shop that's still in business...
I am looking for a small oilless airbrush compressor with at least a 3-liter tank. Noise level should be under 50 decibels. Looking at online reviews has not helped me much, mostly because most reviews seem to be by the people who sell the compressor in question. Many don't even run the...
I want to buy self-gripping #1 and #2 Phillips screwdrivers. I see differently designed mechanisms that hold the screw securely to the tip. Which of the designs is the preferred one? The types I see work with either e three-pronged claw or with a tip that spreads in the slots.
I have tried all local hobby and arts and crafts shops. The closest I can find are earring post studs with a 2.5mm pad/head, but the shaft is too thick.
The nails/brads/studs are to be inserted into 2mm OD/0.8mm ID tubing with the heads making axle ends to keep wheels from falling off.

Looking for stainless steel or brass nails with half-round (preferred) or flat head:
Head diameter: 2mm or a bit larger
Shaft diameter: 0.6 - 0.8mm
Shaft length: >5.0mm (not critical)
It actually doesn't need to be a nail or brad. A headpin, as used in jewelry making would also work.
I have...
Can somebody maybe identify the lock brand and model shown in this screen capture from Raiders of the Lost Ark? If the propmaster did his job, this lock should be from 1936 or earlier and I presume it is US-made.
Thanks, everyone! M6erfan, I can't use a bit holder. because of not enough space. The two screwdrivers mentioned in this thread will work fine. Not sure why they didn't come up when I was searching. So thanks again!
I have a neat extra-long 10" #1 Phillips screwdriver made by Xcelite, but I can't find an extra-long #0. I have to get to a very deeply recessed Phillips head screw and my #1 is just too big. Any suggestions?
I have checked out the very inexpensive 100T Husky. It feels okay with not too much drag, but it's really a 50T ratchet with offset double-pawl. It should be okay for what I might need it, as long as I break the fastener loose with a stronger ratchet or wrench. But for just advancing a loosened...
