I bought the 4 piece set with the orange handles with my latest Snap-on dividend so technically they were free 😊 the Flank-drive plus feature does make a real difference with regards to slippage on a fastener but it can also damage them
The patent number on my HS16 was applied for in 1979 by Easco tools, they must have Dreiers Brothers prior to that date as Dreiers had already patented the tensioning device
That design is sadly discontinued, I believe they were made by Dreier brothers who are now out of business. I have a HS16 and can confirm that it is one off it the best designed high-tension hacksaws ever made. Still see them on eBay
All I’m saying is that sears actions in this case are deceptive at best and damn right theft at worse, given that they could have chosen any ATG design of adjustable wrench but instead chose to imitate the WF design/pattern because of its association with MIUSA
What I’m saying is it looks as though sears has deliberately had these wrenches made to look all but identical to the WF wrenches with omission of The USA txt in a blatant attempt to pass them of as WF made ie; made in USA when in the very fine print it says china
