I thought the same, Craftex=Grizzley, vice versa. All looks pretty good, Im starting to think about purchasing some equipment in the near future...I cant see being able to use the ones at work lasting forever.:D I acquired a sioux valve and seat cutter a while back, but it had **** for pilots...

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Ahhhh... S&S shovelheads on top of the bench, a case of Kokanee under it...nice. Like the shovel powered bike....year? Nosy me also noticed the compliment of Craftex equipment in your shop...mind if I ask you what you think of them...how they are holding up. I know that they are priced quite...

Radiant Flooring - northern climates - suggestions?

I agree to an extent with Tatra...excessive amounts of melt would probably cause the humidity to rise. That's why I try to get as much off as I can before parking, and then squeegeeing to drain. Seems to work for me in keeping the moisture content/humdity down. If you are in planning, plan for a...

Radiant Flooring - northern climates - suggestions?

I have a 30x30 with radiant heat. I do not park in there all the time, but do store a sled in there as well as work on vehicles time to time. I usually wash a vehicle before bringing it in, cuts down on the "muck-soup" alot, plus I have a drain and a good squeegee. What gravel/slush (you know...

    Concrete crack repair...suggestions?

As far as knowing better, on my part...well...probably...I should have researched a little deeper. Like I said before though, I have seen pads bigger than mine without control joints, with slight (only slight) cracking. The amount of rebar that is in my pad would suggest to me that the cracking...

    Concrete crack repair...suggestions?

Plenty of rebar in it, not going to point fingers at the engineer, because I have seen pads bigger than mine without control joints cut in them, with little cracking in them. Since I posted originally, the cracking has not got any worse. When I figure a way to do what I want, and it lasts/looks...

    Concrete crack repair...suggestions?

No expansion joints required as per engineered drawings. I was asked if I wanted them, but chose not to. I did want to paint the flioor, so I will look into a sealer/caulk when it comes time to. Thanks again for the ideas, Dan.

    Concrete crack repair...suggestions?

Nope, not a tripping hazard, but surfaces are slightly uneven (running hand/foot over crack proves it), I just thought to repair it in case the concrete where the crack is chips or flakes. Yes, you are right, it is not really evident to anyone until I point it out. Thanks.

    Concrete crack repair...suggestions?

Great board here, alot of you have some crazy *** garages!! Sweet stuff! I recently put a 30x30 of my own up. I had a local contractor pour the concrete. The pad was engineered, and the crew did the footing and re bar work as per plan. Soon after (when I say soon I mean approx. 60days) I...

    Garage pad cure before coating

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. Great sight, aot of great ideas!! I am just finishing up a 30x30 garage build, and am interested in epxoy coating the floor. I guess my first question is how long should I wait before coating the new pad. It is only about 30-40days old. I tried...
