Thanks, only thing i could come up with is maybe whomever borrowed it used a extension cord not rated for the electrical draw. So gonna pipe it in and start getting some miles on this unit.
Thanks everybody for all the comments. It was the 7.50$ part that fixed the issue. Got the new breaker and installed it. Fired the unit up and ran straight up to 150 psi, popped the pressure valve…. Back down to 0 and repeat of the start up….straight back up to 150 psi….. pretty sweet compressor...
Circuit breaker is coming first, then couple days later the run capacitor shows up… I will try parts as they arrive and see if it fixes the problem…. Last item would be the regulator but even then I am out like 50 bucks././total. Maybe someone adjusted the presets out and that is why it is...
Well it appears that Saturday may be delivery day so thanks again for all the information and then we can install a couple parts and see what we have… so far only 25 bucks in…
Yep that switch is working correctly. I clearly see it pull the contact over to switch to the working capacitor and with out the load it will run until I shut it down.
I also pulled the top of the cylinder apart and checked the valve plate assembly, it barely looks used. I think at this point...
Not that good with the electrical stuff. How do i check the capacitors, they look intact and are cool to the touch! How do you tell if the centrifugal switch is bad! I would think if the input pipe disconnected from the tank and the motor keeps on rolling for minutes that those would be good...
