I know this is an old thread, but just throwing my $0.02 into the pot...
I own a bunch of Proto "pinned" impact extensions, universals, and adaptors, and I badly wish I had bought the ball type. The pin type is a pain in the buttocks if you change sockets even semi-often. If you're using the...
What tool is that you got holding that still?? I could have used that tool when I was working on the VW!
And that's the same bolt I was talking about on the same timing belt gear. Only difference is the one I was working on could also have a triple square in the center, but I trusted the 12pt...
I know this is an old thread, but if anyone googles this and this thread comes up I want to add one I just came across that isn't mentioned.
VW 2.0 SOHC (and possibly others) harmonic balancer bolt is a 19mm 12pt (some of them can also take a triple square, but I trust a 12pt impact socket on a...
I'm still in.
I don't get on forums overall as much as I used to, just occasionally, or when I'm looking up info on something. Then I hang around a bit browsing the latest topics, lol.
I sent him my address.
I really like the design of the new Milwaukee cart, but I don't like the price - especially being made in China. I'll by a $50 cart if I'm getting a Chinese one. I would be willing to pay $200 for the Milwaukee, because of the design, but that's it.
So.. I don't have one either (and need one).
I saw a test between the Knipex Cobra's and the Channel Lock "cobra likes". The Channel Locks certainly held there own against the Cobras. The Cobras were every so slightly better performers, overall, but barely. Certainly not enough to justify the price difference, and the Channel Locks are...
Drill large and deep holes in the stump. Pour gasoline in the holes. Let it soak in. Light it on fire. Most of it will burn up, and the rest will just rot.
If you're a "made in usa" guy (like me), Shop Vac brand (though they were bought out by a Chinese company) and/or new SBD Craftsman models - being made here now.
I will absolutely buy US made Craftsman, if I feel like the quality is back to old Sears Craftsman standards (don't see why it wouldn't be with SBD already making the majority of Proto and MAC in the US).
These are my latest arrivals
SK LP90 ratchets 1/4-1/2 (looks like I forgot to take a pic of the 3/8 drive one)
A few Snap-On ratchets
Nearly complete Impact socket/accessory set
Metric set of Proto reversible ratcheting wrenches (there's a few larges one in a lower drawer, didn't feel...
Lenox - Some, yes
Craftsman - Some, yes
Dewalt - Some, yes
Channel Lock - Some, yes
Southwire - Some, yes
and the list does continue... I just don't feel like continuing it....
Chicago Pneumatic is not the same company as Chicago Electric - a HF brand. Chicago Pneumatic is NOT a HF brand!
They are actually a very well respected, and very long time in the business, pneumatic tool manufacture (they do make some other things also)
