Maxline vs. Fastpipe for compressed air

Wasn’t sure where to post, guess this is as good a place as any. Just finished new construction on a shop. Still getting moved in and organized. So don’t judge the mess. But I recently finished the air system. We went with the rapid air “fast pipe” no kit just ordered parts. Pic worth words, so...

    Belt or Disc Sander Recommendations?

RMERR if you’re anywhere close to Oklahoma City I’d be happy to lighten your load there! Thanks for response. Svtride I’d love an older unit as pictured. I do believe they are better built. But I have yet to find a good candidate close enough to be worth it.

    Belt or Disc Sander Recommendations?

I can not find a decent unit anywhere close to me. About to order one. Most look at 6”x 48” belt 12” disk units. Grizzly, south bend, shop fox are all identical in spec. And targeted at wood working. Baileigh, and others targeted for metal work. All units varied in rpm. But the “metal...

    Belt or Disc Sander Recommendations?

Yeah that site looks great. I have found some, but like that one, are all up north. Unless I get a smoking deal on it. Add shipping, I might as well buy new.

    Belt or Disc Sander Recommendations?

I appreciate this discussion. I’m “in the market” as it were. I’d love to get a good deal on something on an auction site or whatever. But I’m not opposed to buying new either. My biggest issue is not knowing anything particular about the different brands. I looked at jet & shopfox at a local...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Started the process of cleaning and making the garage a usable space. It has served as storage. We moved into house 4 yrs ago. But I have never got around to moving in the garage. so the first step was getting to “yard sale” status. And cleaning, so I could move in the vidmar cabinets I scored...

Build a high lift transmission jack

So what happened? I’m thinking about this myself. I have no problem buying a jack but the ones for $300 or less all have horrible reviews. The ones with decent reviews start at $1200 which is a little much for a convenience tool.

7 1/2" radial arm miter saw

So I'm rebuilding this old saw I got for free. Not a restoration. Just getting it serviceable, so I can use it. I tore it down and started to polish out the rusty "arm bars" sorry I don't know the correct terms. Any way I noticed that the saw "carrier" only had 3 bushings in it and not 4. I...

    Blast cabinet advice

if you just want to write a check, then go for the TP unit. otherwise you can build a cabinet for a lot cheaper. it can be metal or wood. then just buy the important parts like gun and gloves. which you can get in a kit from TP. the cabinet is just an enclosure!

    Something just clicked…..

i just read entire thread. WOW! your on a whole other level! i could only dream of the shop space and "toys" you have. imho i dont feel you have a problem. but it is easy to fall in to a cycle, that is not productive. you admitted you were out of the game for a few yrs. so its understandable...
