    40'X60' Stick built dream

Hey! its exciting isn't it? I have 2X6 walls. I'll be doing 6 inch fiberglass in them. And at least 6 inch in the rafters. maybe more depending on how I want to set it up for storage. Eventually I'll have drywall covering it all when money builds back up. I probably won't be able to get the...

    40'X60' Stick built dream

I plan to make a loft on the inside of the building with a few closed in areas and storage and 'hang out' space up top. The area down below may possibly be large enough for a clean room/multi purpose room big enough for a car/truck. Depends on the layout. As far as closing in the lean to. I...

Another garage power hook up question. 200 amp service.

I think this is what makes the most sense so far. And I probably will wind up with AL.

Another garage power hook up question. 200 amp service.

I'd rather not move the meter. If you saw the layout as a whole it isn't that bad. The meter is about 4-5 ft from the power pole and on the side of the driveway to the house. pretty out of the way.

Another garage power hook up question. 200 amp service.

House is on a completely different feed from the pole so house load shouldn't matter. This meter feeds the Horse barn, which at most has about 10 lights on and in the winter one trough heater and a very small electric fence setup. I'm not sure why they originally ran 200 amp service to the barn...

Another garage power hook up question. 200 amp service.

My new garage is up and its time to start thinking about power:shocking:. The plan is to have a 200 amp panel and service to the garage. Its overkill, but That is the plan. (using 3/0 copper over about a 40 ft run). The grey building is the garage. Barn is about 200-300 ft away. Lets start...

The took a break for a while, then I got busy and didn't upload pictures. The siding guys finished up on Friday. Looks like a real building now. A couple small things for the builder to touch up and he will be done. Next weekend the big doors get installed. Then its time to start putting stuff...

The horses actually got real interested in me taking pictures..... As far as hot Rods. I have a 72' Camaro project that's been on hold for quite some time and will be bringing it into the garage once its done.

For the Lean to, it will mostly be storage, farm equipment, trailers, tractor, etc. As far as the Foundation, I've always used Foundations/footing in the same context. I may be wrong in this. What you see is a 42 inch poured footing. Then yes, one row of block on top. I had forgotten to...

    40'X60' Stick built dream

Had a little hiccup today. came down to miscommunication. Trusses are different that expected, but still workable. What i'm calling the "Lean-to" overhang is just higher than I thought It would be. Its looking good though.

    40'X60' Stick built dream

Finally getting some more progress. Initial thoughts when they looked at the build sire was 3-4 trains of sand... in the end, we will have 15. I guess that's what we get for estimating when there was snow on the ground. Foundations are getting dug Monday and should be poured and done by mid...
