    Tool box

If you've got the space get the biggest size you can afford. Starts to fill up quick. I'm looking at a second lower tool chest to go under the work bench. Good luck with the search

    Tool box

I'd check out harbor freight. US general pro tool chests. You'd be surprised by the quality and the price. I've got the 44" upper and lower. Can't complain at all and would even recommend over craftsman.

    Tap Extensions? For threading

I really appreciate the replies! Thanks! I can't put a socket on it because the void going down to the spark plug hole is pretty narrow. Plus I need the "square" type of extension and I can't find a socket to fit the square end.

    Tap Extensions? For threading

Does anyone know where I can find an extension for hand tapping new threads? I need to install new threads in a motorcycle cylinder head, but the location of the hole is a few inches below the head. I need an extension that will go onto the tap and still be able to use the hand wrench. or...

Was hoping for some recommendations for a jack and jack stands to support a chevy silverado 1500. I don't wrench on the truck everyday, but need a set of stands and jack occassionally for changing oil, tire rotations, regular maintenance, etc. Not sure if I trust harbor freight jack stands...

    Compression Test Gauge

I have a harbor freight (US General) compression tester, which works fine, but I'm not certain that I'm really getting accurate numbers. I was thiking about buying just a new air gauge, and hooking up a quick connect to it so I can connect my hoses that go into the cylinders. Does anyone know...

U.S. General / HF - 1000 Lb. Electric Motorcycle Lift - My review

FYI, I just picked up the electric lift, and they guy told me I bought the 2nd to last one. I guess the warehouse has two locations, one that serves the west and one that serves the east. So I guess there is one left in the west. I'm not sure if they are making more, but from what people...

U.S. General / HF - 1000 Lb. Electric Motorcycle Lift - My review

I was curious as to the "mechanical Back up" you spoke of. You said the mechanical back up seems strong. Is there a back up system for raising and lowering the lift manually, if you don't have power? Or are you speaking of the mechanical safety bar, which locks the lift at certain heights...

U.S. General / HF - 1000 Lb. Electric Motorcycle Lift - My review

Does anyone know if you can buy the wheel chock from the other lifts separately? I think this would be a great lift, but would like to have a decent wheel chock, especially if the top surface is slick. I wouldn't want the wheels slipping out even with tie-downs attaching the bike.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I'm thinking about this motorcycle lift: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=66247 It's a US General Made, which I believe is fairly decent, I have their large tool box and love it. Wondering if anyone has had experience w/ this electric lift. $380, but with 20%...
