Thanks Z2V. Do I need to disconnect the cables or can I remove the bolt and allow the shaft to retract far enough back to slip on the boot?

The Liftmaster won't work with a Wayne Dalton torque master...you will have to change it out to a traditional type spring. I had a high lift conversion and new spring installed for $225.

$450 for my 4 post including 3 Gal of hydraulic fluid.

Seems a little high. High lift conversion should run you no more than $300 installed. You can buy the Liftmaster 8500 on-line for $285 (www.northshorecommercialdoor.com)...it is an easy install that will save you a few hundred dollars.

I just went through the process of having a high lift conversion done in order to install my 4 post lift. Found a local garage door company that was able to lift it within 10" of the ceiling. The parts and labor cost me $275, not much more than the parts alone were going to cost me on-line...

Happy with my BendPak HD-9...it's been installed for a few weeks. Had a few minor issues (damage caused by the freight company) that were quickly resolved, very happy with their customer service.

I have the same compressor. Added a 30 amp breaker and wired it to an outlet. Added a cord and plug to the compressor instead of hard wiring to a disconnect box.

I recently had my HD-9 installed and was experiencing a similar issue. Turns out that I was shipped a European spec unit that had an additional spring that had to be removed as the locks could not overcome the additional spring tension. I suggest you give BendPak a call.
