I ordered a part, there was a problem with the transaction, and they didn't honor my order. You can view it however you like, but that's what happened. It was a simple thing to fix, and they didn't bother to get in touch with me about fixing it and failed to deliver what I'd ordered. I think...

The email that they sent me 5 hours too late indicated that they knew it was a problem with the balance limit. They get return codes when they send in the CC number that lets them know what the issue was. Apparently, they aren't expecting more units in until well into September. No bueno.

So I'm not terribly happy with Ingram's water and air right now. Placed an order for that 36k unit Friday morning, but the total was over the daily charge limit on that card by a couple hundred. Instead of calling me to get that sorted out, they sold the one I ordered to somebody else, then...

I just ordered a MrCool 36k DIY unit to cool my 40x40x16 shop. It's insulated pretty well, and 1/2 the shop has a 10' ceiling. Pretty high pitched roof, but I'm thinking that won't matter much since heat rises. Looks like I'll be the one giving these MrCool units a torture test :) Will...

How large is your mini split ? My shop is roughly the same size (higher ceilings, only one large bay door)

How well is that A/C unit working for that space ? Similar to my 1600 sq feet, but i have very high ceilings (30' at peak, 16' at the walls). Thanks !

For future "googlers" ... So it turns out that when you pull the cotter pin and remove that socket for the "pumping bar" , the center shaft that goes in the area I marked just lifts straight out. Nothing holding it in there but gravity. When you pull that shaft out (it's maybe 2.5 to 3.0...

My engine lift is leaking hydraulic fluid in the area I marked. Is this fixable ? I'm guessing it's got a seal out, but is it replaceable and if so, where in the world would I get one ? Not even sure how to get to it. Thanks for any comments !

Odd .. there is a sticker on it that says "6 HP", but when you do the math on the amps / volts it comes out at 25A, which is under the 30 A rating of the connector I want to use. Why would you be using horsepower to determine usage when amperage numbers are available? Not judging, just curious...

I believe it's 5 HP. 60 gallon black max vertical rig. I haven't actually read the label though, just going on memory. It's been operating out at my old shop on the L14-20 type connector for a few years. Further inspection, maybe it's 3.1 HP :) looks just like this ...

Which type receptacle would be considered "standard" for 220v in a shop ?

vs My thinking is to go with the latter (L14-30) because if I ever need to, I can plug the welder / air compressor / pressure washer (all 220v) in to my generator easily (no adapter). Also, I happen to have a 30 foot L14 type extension cord already, so not having to buy or make a new 3 pin...
