    Is this code?

^This. Also vibration from that duct rubbing against the cable could eventually wear through and cause a short circuit.

    100 amp, not 90

I did what you are planning on doing. 100 amp CB in main panel, 100 amp CB in sub panel. 3 AWG Copper. Wire is THHN/TWHN. All through a 2 inch PVC conduit. All installed and working fine. I always prefer copper instead of aluminum. Just my preference.

Open cell vs batts for garage roof/ceiling

Don't forget such mini-split systems such as the Mitsubishi have a "dehumidify" function which might be able to help with moisture removal while not running the full air conditioning system, thus saving some money. Mini-splits in general are pretty economical.

    Storage questions

Hi, Maybe show a few pictures to see just what you've got. Maybe some plywood sheets across rafters to hold up the items you'd like to store(?) I agree with not wanting a finished ceiling. That's how my garage is.

Retro fitting a 4 light 4' florescent fixture that has replaceable starters to LED

^^^ This. Enjoy it as an original vintage light fixture. I've got a bunch of old T-12 fluorescent fixtures using the original type bulbs and starters. They look and work great! :)

    Mice and garage couch

Not true. Starving a cat so that it will catch mice is false. A well-fed cat will still kill mice because it's the cat's instinct. Please don't ever do this to a cat. It's cruel and inhumane.

pls sanity check by subpanel plan

I'll be shortly doing something very similar. Total run of appx 80 feet. Installing a 100 amp sub panel in detached garage/shop. Feeding off main 200 amp panel. Question with reference to gauge of wire. I see 3 gauge good for 100 amps but have also read where 2 gauge is used at times. I...

    Mice are killing me....

Please don't do this! Do either one or the other. It's obvious a cat may eat a mouse that's already poisoned and then die. That would be very sad.

    Patching Stem Wall

Many thanks to everyone for the great responses! I feel better knowing I appear to be on the right track. Larry 4406, many thanks for the excellent suggestion. I will remove that bubble material from the pipe. That will certainly help with getting a more stable patch in place with the...

Yes, untrimmed spray foam used to seal between siding and inside plate. Looks rough just needs to be trimmed up.

    Patching Stem Wall

About a year and a half ago, I had this slab poured for my new detached garage. We laid in some sewer pipe in one corner for a future bathroom. When the slab was poured, which also has stem walls, the vent pipe was put too close to the outside edge of the stem wall, resulting in a crack which...
