    Posting Professional Plans

Thank you for the reply. To be clear, I'm talking about plans that have my name on them, along with the name of the company that I paid to draft them. Are the plans not mine now, to share if I wish? Also, what about posting invoices or quotes?

    Posting Professional Plans

Are there any rules (or even just etiquette) to be aware of concerning the posting of copies of professionally drawn/stamped/sign plans? :dunno: It looks like most people don't actually post up all of their building/site plans, yet I see where some people have shared them with an individual...

Purchasing something of lesser quality just to save $, then regret it later?

Have a couple of the original Ryobi lithiums with the green/orange/red level indicator and they were great at first, but it wasn't long before they started to piss me off with their shutting off under high load and not coming back on until later. The low-pro lithiums are only really good for...

Is there anything special needed to use these lights in my pole barn?

Sorry to thread hijack/****, but did this guy get banned for this post?:headscrat: Was it the big bold "WTF"? (:+1:) I'm guessing it was the "FURRFU", and that a mod thought he was telling the other guy "F-U!", when really that means, literally, "sheesh". I'm a new guy here, but I'm calling it...

Purchasing something of lesser quality just to save $, then regret it later?

I've had that exact reel for probably 7 years, with a constant 110lbs of air in it, and it hasn't failed yet. The only issue I've had is that the colder it is, the less retraction power it has. If you let it reel in slowly and it's "reel" cold, it may get to a point where it doesn't...

    8ft double T-12's "HO" @ $15 on craigslist - good deal?

Thanks for the continuing recommendations, folks! I will have to dedicate a lot more time to this lighting subject a little later in the project. :eyecrazy: The retrofit kits would be pretty interesting if I had more housings left to use. Also, the housings that I have are just the can, with no...

    Wilton Vise History

Oops, sorry for cluttering up your thread! Newbie mistake; I had actually meant to post this in the "The VISES of Garage Journal" thread!:o After seeing that mine was a Wilton, I ran a search and came across this thread, and then ended up accidentally posting it here instead of there... Is there...

    8ft double T-12's "HO" @ $15 on craigslist - good deal?

Thank you for all the detailed info! From the specs you posted, the F54T5HO is about 16% more efficient in lumens per watt than the F96T12HO, which will certainly add up over time. It looks like you pay a little more per lumen of output initially for the T5 tube, in return for a much longer life...

    8ft double T-12's "HO" @ $15 on craigslist - good deal?

Thanks for the responses! I guess I'll pass on these fixtures and do some more research on how many lights of each type I would need to provide adequate coverage. Hey, we both lost our post virginity! Thanks for the feedback. I haven't seen any 96in T5HO's yet, but maybe some of these...

    Wilton Vise History

Thanks for this thread! Without ever paying much attention to it, I assumed that the vise that I inherited from my dad was a Harbor Freight, but it turns out it's a Wilton. This thread got me curious about when and where we got the vise, so I started digging and found this picture of when we...

    8ft double T-12's "HO" @ $15 on craigslist - good deal?

skip to end for tl;dr version Preface: Hi, new member here. :hellobye: Been reading posts here for years, but figured I should go ahead and join up since I'm going to be putting up a pole-building shop this year :rocker: and this seems like the perfect place to share my experience and...
