    tap size is somethings like .453 for 1/2-20. a 7/16 i.d. pipe is .437 would think its possible with a good sharp new tap with a long taper start. oh and lots of patience. out of curiosity why the limitations ?

    would it be smart to do a burn out on it ? throw an extra plate on the bottom throw in a triple load of charcoal and grab the misses hair dryer and get some color on the walls to burn off everything. i know stainless has an oil on it thats why stainless cuts take forever to heal.
