    Painting inside of garage door

Not a bad idea. An oil paint after might help with later clean up?

    Painting inside of garage door

It's a metal door with built in insulation panels. I'm only looking to paint the insulated panels. They are coated with something as I cleaned them years ago, but they never got super clean. Maybe an oil based paint?

    Painting inside of garage door

Hi. I just finished re-epoxying my floor and now I want to redo my walls. My garage doors are metal and they came insulated from the manufacturer. Problem is, the bottom row of the doors as stained, etc from years of use. I cleaned them once before, but it didn't make huge difference. Has anyone...

One coat or two for top coat?

Thanks. I did a second coat this morning. I found the anti slip to be very rough and too fine. I went over it again with no anti slip to hopefully knock it down a bit. Can't wait for the smell to be gone.

One coat or two for top coat?

Hi. I just finished laying down the Armorclad epoxy and chips, and will be doing the military grade top coat this evening. My garage is 430 sq feet. I seemed to have read most people who have done the top coat only go through half of what they are given. So, my question is, if I have enough...

    Seperate motor from compressor tank

Good thought. My neighbor has a welder, so that may work.

    Seperate motor from compressor tank

Was the slab on the floor? I'd like to have it off the floor. This isn't a big compressor by any means, but I'd hate to go through the hassle to have it shak everything off my shelves.

    Seperate motor from compressor tank

I agree with the rubber mounting. I'm guessing I could get a piece of plate steel somewhere cheap, make the same mounting holes, get rubber mounts for the sheet metal, and then bolt that to a heavy duty shelf, possibly also made of metal. This isn't happening tomorrow, as I am in the middle of...

    Seperate motor from compressor tank

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4901&page=105 Message 2097 shows what I'm talking about, only tank in the attic. I guess wood would work?

    Seperate motor from compressor tank

Thanks for the replies.. I would rubber mount the compressor, not the tank since it will just be sitting still. Good info on the metal pipe. I guess my question is, currently the motor and compressor are bolted to a steel plate that is welded to the compressor. Would I need another steel plate...

    Seperate motor from compressor tank

Hi. I've been searching, and I think maybe a few have done what I am looking to do, but I am looking for more info/pictures, etc. I have a Husky 25 or so gallon air compressor that is oil cooled. It is an upright model that sits in the corner of my garage. I have attic space above the...

Amorclad Users - How did you prep?

If you need to repair cracks and pop marks in the floor, do you acid etch first, then repair, or repair then etch?

    Electric Heater

I went out and looked this morning. There are 2 15 amp GFI outlets on a 15 amp breaker. Installed when the house was built. Previous owner installed a 30 amp breaker in the panel and ran 3 20 amp GFI's off of it. Checked the wire and it is 12. That being said, should the 30 amp breaker be...
