Yeah, I have a stall matt I will use to protect concrete if forging. Legs are full of sand and top is 1/2 inch plate. The anvil, top and legs do a great job absorbing vibration and sound. Pretty rock solid. Not going to be doing any heavy forging on this setup. Floor has seen worse the last 20...
Some pics of a plasma table I built last weekend. Still need to make the collector for it, maybe this weekend. 24x36 all 2 inch angle and 2 inch slats.
I have a 225x Tig and a cut50 DP plasma cutter. My Mig is a 180 Lincoln. Enjoy, can’t go wrong with Primeweld. Awesome customer service and solid machines.
Wanted a separate small stand for my plasma cutter. Had some drop material that worked for my needs. Wanted something not attached to my welders that can be a kind of rover in my shop. I added a small filter and dryer to it as well. Had one prior on a shared cart. I like it much better solo...
I have 11 foot ceiling and installed 6 100 watt Hyperlites with diffusers. The light output is amazing and with my ceiling height the light was spread out making for very even output. The diffusers also minimize any shadowing. My shop is now very well lit. Much brighter than any strip light...
Made a receiver for my travel trailer to store the wdh hitch when camping. Installed a tab on the bottom you can cable lock everything to the frame. Bottom nuts are welded to plate and stud. The hitch itself will just lock with the pin like when on the vehicle.
I have used the same table for couple years now. I find it to be an excellent table and great value for a cast iron table. Mine is dead flat on all sides and top. It is nice that it is modular and multiple tables can be tied together. Many shops use these in professional settings because of...
Made some stops for my portaband table I made. Used clamps prior to keep it from sliding. Something so simple makes all the difference. Also made a weight mount for my Cub. The decal on my drill press was pealing so I made a mount and put a new sticker on. Got the press used and it had a couple...
I got this around 92. Bought the version of this model in 08 for the attached garage and it is not near the quality. The older one has way more suction.
Like a lot of presses the base is a little too narrow unless anchored to the floor. Was always concerned while drilling larger material if it ever hung up on something spinning the material it could potentially come down. Same could happen if bumped into hard enough. The base gave it way more...
I heat with a 240V 7500 watt 25k btu ceiling mount I installed about 17 years ago. I also installed a t stat. I only use it when in the shop. Can be at freezing outside and 60-65 inside. I normally have to shut it off because it gets to warm. I like it around 60. 32x28 Partially insulated with...
I installed new lighting. Went from linear fluorescent to led hyperlites. Man what a difference Shop is so well lit now from corner to corner. Also made a stand for my drill press.
