I used Trex decking for baseboard in the garage. Comes in several colors and sizes, is really durable and cuts easily with a miter saw.

    Drain in the floor clogged

Hire a plumbing company to clean and scope the drain. It's about $100 around here and you will be able to see where it goes and also what condition its in. Good luck!

Please HELP with a leak from interior garage wall

it may be helpful to get a sewer scope guy come out and run his camera into this drain pipe. Not only will it tell you about the condition of the pipe, but he should be able to tell you were it goes using his metal detector device. Also agree that if there is evidence that this has been an...

What's the easiest way to remove this curb?

If it backs to an ally, you probably need to contact the city bldg. dept. before doing anything. I had a similar situation when I put in my new driveway and had to pull a right of way permit to break out the curb... even though it was on my property.

Insurance, how bad is too bad?

There is no set answer to this. It is dependent on the employers discretion. If the job requires you to drive on company time (ie: deliveries, test drives, sales calls, etc.), than they will want to see a pretty clean record with no DUI's, reckless driving tickets and such. It is a huge...

How do you guys do it?

At the least, try to add 3 or 4 extra feet of depth to the garage. Many builders have an option available to do this and the amount of storage space you gain is huge!

    2-post lift floor anchor ??

I'm installing a Derek Weaver model W-10DE 10K two-post lift and have some questions. The instructions on these things are not terribly clear, so thought I would get some opinions. 1. The instructions say to torque the nuts by hand to 150 ft/lbs. This seems like an awful lot to me. I don't...

    Painting siding on my garage...

I tried using one of those small Wagner units that a friend had when I helped him to paint his basement. We had to thin the paint so much cause it kept clogging the machine. Ended up wasting a bunch of paint and a bunch of time using that piece of garbage! I can't even imagine how tough it...
