Aircraft Spruce carries any kind of rivet you could need. Not expensive, but you may end up with WAY more than you need.

"AD" material rivets will probably be your best bet; very common in aircraft. For a "button" head (protruding) rivet an MS20470AD4 (1/8"...
I've never tried that approach, but it might be a viable option for restoring the edge/bevel to a very dull or damaged chisel. For the actual sharpening however, in my humble opinion you can't beat doing it by hand with the appropriate stones (and maybe a guide of this type)...

You might consider putting the sink on the outside wall of the bathroom (not on the exterior of the building!), so it's accessible from the work area. I'm actually doing this in my build right now.
