    Long needle nose plastic grips

Another option is a product called liquid tape. Dip the cleaned up handles in it a few times with dry time between and you've got new grips.

    My first garage

Nice work James. The place looks great. Buying a house at your age will pay off down the road big time.

Any "up north" style garages? I have a plan but need ideas...

That's a great lookin' spot. Fishing good? You've done your homework on the design, looks good. If your looking to reduce visual impact maybe slide it a little further back into the trees. You're chosen roof style already will make it look lower than it is.

Thanks lads, I've come close to selling her many times over the years but can't pull the trigger. I've always liked 'em a little different and I haven't seen anything like it around here in 22 years. Now it needs to be faster, but don't they all?

Max distance for Pex in Concrete

As Tuna said, 12" spacing in a straight run, 6" near ext walls and openings. If you decide to do it yourself find a supplier that will spec your system off of your prints, sizing and layout.

My system consists of 11, 250' loops of 1/2" tubing. My boiler is made by Triangle Tube, it's a high efficiency, modulating boiler. It does my radiant in floor, my domestic hot water and 2 air handlers. It's not a cheap boiler but I'm a strong believer in the "get what you pay for" thing.

A little slow on the pic I know, but here's an old shot of my first project. Still own it. It's hiding in my mother in laws garage for now.

Stump's New 2 Car Detached Garage Project.

My doors are 9' wide by 8' hi, insulated. The 3800 has no trouble lifting them and operates quietly. You are dealing with more weight for sure so I think I'd call a pro and get his opinion.

My I-Drive Sh*t the Bed Yesterday! LM 3800 Question?

I'm not the dealer but I have 2 of those 3800's. Working well so far. Let me know if you need a measurement or two.

Mine are Liftmaster 3800. Your tracks will obviously be routed differently to have the door run as high as poss. A good door co. will be able to set you up.

Welcome aboard Stump. One thing that comes to mind for your place is a jackshaft garage door opener. Keeps the space over your lift open.

    And the dream begins-

Good luck. With some of the shops on here as an example you should be able to build somethin' sweet. Enjoy.

Weekend Engine Install, Vintage Equipment and more!

Mopar's lookin' good E. Kind of OT but what's the height of your shop? I'm trying to picture what a 4 post would look like in mine. I'm thinking there's been a few goose eggs when I see the foam tube on that cross beam.
