They are low voltage and direct burial - I used conduit anyhow and soldered all the connections (took a while!!) and then heat shrinked and electrical tape to seal them...then capped them in the pvc as an added protection. I know they are not 100% watertight, and the lights themselves aren't -...
Opted to get new pavers and make the driveway a circular as well...while we had that work outsourced, wife and I installed the lighted pavers, conduit, and wiring ourselves - that was a job!
