Blue Point Canon Plug Pliers - New Inserts?

Ordered the Metal Magery inserts after talking to my 3D Printing guy at work and determining that was a less practical option. They came in today and appear to be near exact copies of the Blue Point inserts....so that worked out.

Blue Point Canon Plug Pliers - New Inserts?

Found the Metal Magery inserts on eBay for roughly $20 shipped - returns NOT accepted in this case. I don't do business on Amazon. I wasn't after these pliers, but there have been times when they would have been nice. Decent used Blue Points on eBay are asking $30-$40 shipped. The used ATI...

Blue Point Canon Plug Pliers - New Inserts?

Just picked up this pair of Blue Point PWC52A pliers for free - but one of the soft jaws is missing, and Snap-on doesn't offer replacements. There are inserts available, but they are specifically for other brands, and I don't want to order some and have them not fit. Anybody deal with this...

    Columbian 606-M2 Vise FOR PARTS

Columbian 6" jaw vise, model # 606-M2. Main nut and lead screw are shot, swivel base is gone. Static and dynamic jaw castings are unbent and uncracked, though they have a lot of weld spatter on them and the slide was used as an anvil, apparently. Newly fabricated lead screw shim (stainless) and...

1999 Wilton C1 Casing Nut Replacement

My coworkers are 350+ lbs and DGAF about some tooling. The pins were sheared off and laying inside the cavity at the rear of the vise, so I simply unthreaded the vise nut/casing nut assembly and drove the remaining pin portions out from the outside.

1999 Wilton C1 Casing Nut Replacement

Recently, some of my coworkers broke the 1999 dated Wilton C1 at our place of employment. As the guy who deals with this kind of stuff, I disassembled the affected area of the vise and the pics attached show the carnage. I have spoken with Wilton (JPW) directly, and they have the # 2901110...

Need Columbian 606 M2 Vise Parts

Recently picked up a rough Columbian 606 M2 needing a MAIN NUT & LEAD SCREW. Nut is malleable iron and has "506-4" cast in. Lead screw measures 1.125" diameter and the shank is 21.5" long (Acme threads I believe). PM me, thanks in advance.

The Unofficial Vise Parts Swap Thread.

Got the main nut (and what remained of the 5/16" retaining pin) out of my Columbian 606-M2. Nut is malleable iron and has "506-4" cast in. Lead screw I need measures 1.125" diameter and the shank is 21.5" long (Acme threads I believe).

Is this Columbian 606-M2 Vise Too Far Gone?

As of this time, I haven't uncovered any areas that need weld/braze repair (aside from the swivel base, which I'm scrapping and do not plan to replace). I have been looking around for a main nut and lead screw. Thanks for the advice.

The Unofficial Vise Parts Swap Thread.

I've got a Columbian 606-M2 that NEEDS A PARTS VISE OR IS A PARTS VISE. I'm looking for a main nut, lead screw, and thrust washer. Pics attached...let me know if you have any parts or need anything that I have. I believe the 506 model shares some of this hardware. Thanks in advance.

Is this Columbian 606-M2 Vise Too Far Gone?

Yes, the main nut is the main problem. I'm not a machinist and don't have any hook-ups, so finding a used replacement nut would be the only way I can move forward...would very much like to find a lead screw as well. I may go ahead and grind out the weld holding the nut in (not supposed to be...

Is this Columbian 606-M2 Vise Too Far Gone?

Gotta have replacement parts in this case...if it was as simple as a clean, lube, and paint, I wouldn't be asking for any advice.

Is this Columbian 606-M2 Vise Too Far Gone?

Just picked up this Columbian 606-M2 for $40. Story is that the guy I got it from bought it from an old weld shop then figured out that it wouldn't tighten up. I've done some research that suggests the "M2" denotes a swivel base model (correct me if I'm wrong). Issues: (see pics) - Main Nut...

How Do I Bypass the Ballast On These Old MH Fixtures?

The space I rent in a red iron building has 20 year old Metal Halide fixtures and the one in my corner finally bit the dust. Instead of replacing the bulb with another MH unit and hoping the ballast is ok, I want to get an LED retrofit bulb (linked -...
