I got a quote for 6k the other day... 550 SF full flake polyspartic. In NC I think thats around double what it should be

Best Epoxy Kit? 550SF 2+ Car Garage

After living here for 4 years I think it's finally time to do flooring in my garage-mahal. My slab, poured in 1987 is in really good shape. Zero cracks, no expansion joints. No moisture after taping down a plastic sheet overnight. I don't do any welding or really heavy work here any more. For...

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

My uncle replaced a bad fuel pump on an old BMW. After a day or so he saw the old fuel pump sitting on his shop floor and curiosity got the best of him. He had a battery sitting nearby and some jumper cables, he decided to hook up the old pump to see if it would work at all. It threw whatever...

Oil stained slab - what finish

Pics attached. By the end of next week I should have my 18,000 BTU mini split installed, and everything cleaned out. The floor is the last step. The slab is in good shape (level, smooth, no cracks) except for oil stains from that truck there. I just finished up a 3 month project on it...

WTB - cheap 3/4 ton truck

Scouring the local Craigslist, thought i'd post here as well. I'm looking for an older, 3/4 ton truck. Gas or diesel, 4x4. Would consider a 2500 suburban. Budget is up to about $4500. Faded paint, torn seats okay. No rust, needs to be reliable, no major body damage, regular truck bed (not a...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Modern House - Eastern Shore

Small world... we have a house on Indian Creek and I also spend a lot of time with friends downeast. Sometimes real downeast (Davis). Both places have their pros and cons!

    Spotless Car Wash

I'd bury it, use pex and put in a valve so I can blow most of the water out of it with shop air if I needed to. A blow gun nozzle fits nicely into a 1/2" ball valve.

Decisions on choosing my mini split

Pressure testing with nitrogen is just to check for leaks. Nitrogen is cheap and dry, you could do it with air but you would introduce a lot of moisture into the system that you would then have to vacuum out. Not to mention contaminants like oil from your air compressor... Vacuuming dries them...

Decisions on choosing my mini split

Alright here is one for you. 588sf 2 car attached garage with 11' ceilings and drywall. I plan to insulate the door with something easy/cheap and seal up any gaps. Climate - North Carolina. Muggy and 95F summer days, winter lows around freezing with highs in the 50's. 18,000 BTU pioneer or...

    Vapor Barrier

Hi, In researching posts about garage floor coatings, I have seen that an epoxy floor coating does not work on a slab with no vapor barrier (I assume plastic that is set down before the concrete is poured). The house that I am currently under contract to buy was built in 1987, attached 2 car...

Finished my garage floor with ArmorPoxy ArmorUltra in WHITE

Which kit did you order? I see armor epoxy but I don't see an option for white with a 600sf kit.

    Spotless Car Wash

Interested in putting a water filter canister in my garage. To keep me from having to towel dry. Im good with PEX. Probably mount the canister in the garage then run the tubing to a post outside. Any experience here with this? From NC with city water.
