Dreis and Krump Chicago Pan and Box Break Refurb.

That's a great find... I have its little brother the L30 (3' 12ga). The fingers on mine appear to be a bit different, quite a bit longer than yours.

    Bill's basement garage/fab/machine shop

Getting on GJ is a love/hate thing... I'm seeing some really cool stuff and great ideas. One of those cool things was someone mentioning SketchUp, which I made the mistake of downloading yesterday. So since then I've pretty much done nothing else (I'm off work until Monday). Here are the...

    Bill's basement garage/fab/machine shop

The Synchrowave is the same as the one in the race shop I used to work at, so when I started looking that was what I looked for. Got it off of Ebay, they'd mislabeled the ad as a "Synchromatic" so I got it for about half of what they were running at the time since apparently everyone was...

    Wiring the shop

I'm at the same stage as the OP in that I have to do sheetrock, wiring, and air lines in my shop. I'd already thought to do the wiring surface mounted in conduit, but it seems like that would entail doing the air piping first and then bending the conduit over it (which seems like a huge pain)...

No unfortunately, there will be one East-West wall that parallels the beams but about 2 feet away as it's just not enough room if I go to the beam and way too far if I go to the next one. The other wall is North-South so not parallel to the beam. The North-South wall will also cover up the...

I figure since I teased about the lathe, etc I'd put up a few more pics. You'll find I like to take lots of them :dunno: The 1961 Logan 12x24 lathe: Where I found it After I finished going through it. Went through all of the carriage/tailstock/quickchange and cleaned and set all the...

He's 50, and a school teacher (as is my sister-in-law) depending on how old you are you might have had him for a teacher.

    Bill's basement garage/fab/machine shop

So my wife and I bought a house this past July, and now I finally have some space to set up to work in. It's a 1600sq ft rambler with an unfinished daylight basement/shop (also ~1600sq ft). We bought the house from the guy who had it built in 2003, but he never finished the basement into the...

    The Bimmer Basement

Just read through your whole thread and I like what you've done. I'm in a similar situation with a basement shop to finish. My only advantage is mine was intended be a shop but the guy who had it built never finished it. The other funny thing is about half way through, I realized you live in...
