Hey guys, I need 1' taller garage doors, I have the room overhead so I'm going forward with this. I am 100% confident I can do all the work, and want to ask your thoughts about getting a decent door for a decent price dropped off at my residence. 8x8' needed. HD/Lowes? Online shops? Any...

    Ceiling joist covering ideas..

Thanks for all the ideas guys, I'll get a pic today and show you what I'm dealing with. I'm going to give a sanding to a small area and a scrubbing as well, see how it works. Tempted to buy new cedar 3"x1/4" T&G planking from HD, but... $800 or so for a ceiling. Not sure I can justify that...

    Ceiling joist covering ideas..

Hey guys, I've got a 100 yr old carriage house / garage and the ceiling is covered in old stained dingy beadbaord. It doesn't look particularly bad, but is fallign down in places and a bit darker than I'd like. I figure that now, before I redo the garage doors and pipe in more electrical...

HF 3hp air compressor pump fittings... stuck.

Ragtop, YES. thats just what hit me as I posted the pic. duh. that elbow is now gone and I'm left with 3/4 pipe -much simpler. 6pt, yeah the fitting measures out to 3/4-16, no taper. Dumb ****. But as of now that fitting is GONE! We're at 3/4 NPT, aiming straight down out of the pump. So...

HF 3hp air compressor pump fittings... stuck.

Hey guys, I picked up this 3hp air compressor pump from HF, and am a bit stuck on fittings to get it plumbed. The manual states 3/4-16 UNF, and as you can see below the parts look like a flare fitting. The cad plated nut has 3/4 ID and the black male has 9/16 ID. 3/4 flare is not readily...

Harbor Freight - Coupons, Sales, best deal???

you can buy a 3hp motor, and a matching compresser head to go with it. then you find a tank and the fittings etc. that's my plan anyway. Prob end up costlier than waiting out a good deal on CL. But thats how lots of DIY stuff goes, right?? ~Steve
