    sawsall question

Yes, a "Sawzall" is what Milwaukee calls their reciprocating saw, they were the first to make one, and for the most part make the best ones. I will say I really like Makita's locking mechanism, it ejects the blade when you release it. Hate the mechanism Dewalt uses, it tends to break easily.

Which Drill/Impact should I get? Makita v Milwaukee

Makita has a 3 year tool warranty and a 1 year battery warranty. Milwaukee has a 5 year tool warranty and 2 year on the batteries (3 years for the XC). I've never had to deal with Makita's CS, but I do hear it's antiquated. I've never heard a bad thing about Milwaukee CS FWIW.

Which Drill/Impact should I get? Makita v Milwaukee

He's right, just take a look at the 12v saws from milwaukee and bosch:

    Work Bench Designs?

Though it's not my garage, I have a good sized room down in my basement to use as a work shop. I've got about 6'1/2" in length I can work with on the wall I want the bench on, though I'd be fine with even a 4' table. The depth of the table does not matter, and I'd like the height to be around...

    Bosch vs Hitachi?

I'd stay with 18V, and personally I'd get one with the L boxx. I would get the hammer drill since usually they have a better chuck or carbide inserts

    Bosch vs Hitachi?

Hmm, the l boxx would be pretty tempting since it's cheaper than the normal drill package, but it would end up being more expensive to get an impact later

    Bosch vs Hitachi?

Funny you should say that, I tried over 8 Milwaukee drills (both M12 and M18, hammer and non hammer) and every single one of them had runout or chuck wobble. Some were absolutely horrible, some not as bad. Same thing with Dewalt and Makita. From what I read, this is the norm now with the chucks...

    Bosch vs Hitachi?

I ended up with the Dewalt 12V Max combo, loving it so far! Plenty of power

Dewalt 12V vs 20V Max Combo

Picked up the 20V combo today. Do you have any wobble in the chuck of your drill? Was tempted to pick up the 12v combo, had an impact, drill, and sawzall for only $179

Dewalt 12V vs 20V Max Combo

Responding to Kunk- I only will be getting the drill and impact, saws and grinders I prefer to have corded. I agree, the Dewalt has PERFECT ergos. I thought the M12 felt very chunky in hand and top heavy, not a fan. My only worry is getting chuck wobble, all the reivews I read say its pretty bad.

Dewalt 12V vs 20V Max Combo

Well my old faithful 18V nicad dewalt drill finally died on me today. Can't blame it, it's been to hell and back (left out in the rain, dropped off ladders). It's time for a new drill/driver and impact. I want to stay Dewalt since I've had great luck, and a service center right next to me. Lucky...

    Milwaukee M12 vs M18

I agree, as much as I'd like the m12 fuel, it's just as much as an m18. Part of the advantage of the m12 is cost. Also, both sawzalls are 12amp

    Milwaukee M12 vs M18

I've really been second guessing my needs lately. I've taken a liking to Milwaukee tools after buying a sawzall last week. The thing is a beast compared to the Dewalt my dad has. That being said, I am caught in between which drill/impact to buy, the M12 or M18? I can't honestly say either will...
