Adding new circuit to main panel. Connecting neutral and ground to which busbar?

Hello, I'm adding a circuit to my 200amp main panel but the all the circuit openings are full on the right side and all the neutrals are full on the left side. I don't think it matters, but is there any reason I can't add a new circuit to the left side of the hot busbar but connect the...

Air compressor flow and plumbing question

Thanks guys. Although, I'm already going 3/4 lines, my main question was whether or not a 1/2 versus 3/4 jumper hose off the tank would make a significant difference. Thanks.

Air compressor flow and plumbing question

The manual states 1/2" outlet and it it doesn't look to have a reducer.

Air compressor flow and plumbing question

Ok, maybe I misunderstood..... So, a short 36" x 1/2" jumper hose would be fine, but try to use 3/4" as much as possible (the long copper pipe runs should definitely be 3/4")

Air compressor flow and plumbing question

thanks matt i, I'm trying to follow your advice, but need to ask another question. I think you're suggesting use 3/4" where I can and a 3/4 to 1/2" reducer to the tank would be best. However, I currently have a 1/2" 45° fitting to a 1/2" shut off valve on the compressor (arrived that...

Air compressor flow and plumbing question

So, no difference in 1/2" vs 3/4" jumper hose? I do see an advantage to the 3/4" in the plumbing because it will have less reduction of cfm at the bends, right?? I tried to use one of those engineering charts to determine cfm lose with bends, but it was over my head. So, I figure it wouldn't...

Air compressor flow and plumbing question

Hello, I'm pluming my Quincy 5 HP compressor. I'm going to run 35-40' of 3/4" copper for cooling in a vertical radiator layout. I'm not clear on a few things. My compressor outlet is 1/2". I'm planning to use 3/4" copper pipe to help maintain the cfm but the regulators and filters will be...

Show us your compressor plumbing and manifolds

Hey guys, I've been researching to get some help on setting up my new Quincy 5HP 60 gallon compressor. I'd like to create a set up like montanafordman but have a couple questions. 1. My Quincy outlet is only 1/2". So, should all plumbing pipes, fittings, regulators, filters, jumper hose...

Metal conduit. Are grounding screws needed?

Thanks guys. I replaced my boxes with some deeper ones, but now I'm confused on how to secure the #8 AWG THHN to the grounding screw. It's too big. Do I use a lug or some type of crimp connector?

Metal conduit. Are grounding screws needed?

I was afraid of that... I just hope I can get them with the same offset or I may be rerunning conduit.

Metal conduit. Are grounding screws needed?

Thanks Norcal. I may have got a little touchy on the "sloppy" comment. I've never bend conduit and wouldn't say it was "hard" but definitely NOT easy either. Now I'm thinking I probably should have done it differently... haha On a separate note, I now have a problem with my ground screw...
