Challenger CL10V3-2 2-post lift installation experience

Bought a CL10V3 as well. Got it for $4,418 from bestbuy automotive equipment and had it delivered to a local freight terminal. Well packaged, not a scratch. Now it’s listed at $4,712 but occasionally they will offer $250 off . Mine was purchased in February. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Air Compressor Will Not Turn Off

I've been searching for replacement contactors online and they all seem to have lug connectors on both ends. The one I need has lug connectors on one end and strap connectors on the other. When I run the part number it comes up as the entire contactor and starter. What is this tab called ? Maybe...

Air Compressor Will Not Turn Off

Those of you who suspected the contacts welded together hit the nail on the head...or should I say the spot on the weld. One leg was totally welded the other leg had welded and separated but had a big glob of melted metal on the end which was in constant contact. The contactor is rated at FLA 40...

Air Compressor Will Not Turn Off

Thanks...for the input. I will give that a look. When you say bridged do you mean like they got "welded together"? If so could they be separated or is it just best to go with a new contactor if that is the case?

Air Compressor Will Not Turn Off

I have a 7.5hp air compressor w/ a magnetic starter. The compressor won't turn off and constantly runs to the point which the safety valve releases at 200psi. At first I thought it was the pressure switch but even when there is no power to the pressure switch it still runs. So correct me if I'm...

Could anyone tell me what the dimensions of the columns are and what the distance from outside of the column to outside of the column is? I believe the dimensions Challenger Lifts gives for overall width of 138.5" and 143" is from the ends of the baseplates and not the columns. Thanks!

    Wall Covering

I used 7/16" OSB but covered it with some used roof metal I picked up for about $200 .I just covered the bottom 4' with metal though. Also used the metal for the ceiling as well with no OSB behind it. Wanted that old time look.

Best crack repair new slab prior to epoxy.

Although these weren't cracks perse. I used Legacy Industrials Xtreme Set 100 on my expansion joints. Two years later and still looks good with not cracking. However I didn't use an epoxy topcoat but a stain and sealer. Here are two pics with the joints filled prior to sanding them and staining...

    Concrete Stain

That’s one thing I would do different if I ever did this again. I would go a grit or two up. Even with the ultrafine it gets pretty slick when wet. I would mix it in rather than broadcast it to get a more even coating. As far as looks can’t see it or feel for that matter if you run your hand...

    Concrete Stain

SEC sealer is holding up well considering I do a lot of welding , autoshop work and am constantly rolling and dragging heavy stuff around. Once in a while a small piece of metal or gravel with drag under something I’m moving and scuff it up a bit. But it’s ok with me I did it more to prevent...

    Concrete Stain

I used a concrete grinder on mine. Rented at a local equipment rental store. https://www.homedepot.com/tool-truck-rental/mobile/Concrete-Grinder-10/50200-HD/index.html It took me an entire weekend. It was very slow work. Although my concrete was just poured two months earlier and it was power...

    12' OH Lift After Thought

Ok..ok... 20 lashes for me. I already have a 24x40 garage with 12’ 6” ceilings attached to the house and was originally building this for storage with just a few outlets and a lighting circuit. The lift was going to go in the attached garage but my wife insists on using part of it to park her...
