Oh no, the lift stays put. I have not had any trouble with it moving around. I use the wheels to move the lift to one side of the shop or the other depending on my space requirements.

Yeah, that is a clear on the floor. I like the clear, but it is slippery when it is wet b/c I did not use the anti-slip additive. On the otrher hand, it is super easy to clean.
