    Reversing a roll up door

Can you just remove the hardware and install on the other side of the door? Most of these attach the hardware with bolts through the door, seems you could just reverse things. I would wonder if you will ned to modify the rails with the locking bits on the other side of the door (i.e., enlarge...

2 Post Lift Location Driven by Ceiling?

The COL (center of lift) will vary by vehicle, so the answer to your question all depends on the vehicle to be lifted and how it is equipped. Edit to add a link that should help... http://www.bendpak.com/support/balancing-safety/

FYI to jeffmoss26 and others when shipping--tape them boxes up

My point was that nothing is free... Free tape from USPS ultimately costs more than using your own. Tape from FedEx or UPS is included, not free. Tape from USPS is paid for by you and me. Don't want to derail the thread (probably shouldn't have posted), but all of the "free" stuff is wearing...

    Teaching my kid to weld

Yeah, we started out with the hand impact, they are very hady... Had a few early where it didn't work, escalated to the welding. Once he had to do that a couple times, he decided the welding was more fun. Might have saved some time trying the impact on each first, but he was happy, so I let...

    Teaching my kid to weld

Way to go moto!!! That's great stuff. My boy had to do some practical problem solving with the welder recently. He has a TJ and decided it was time to replace those bound up hinges... He ordered up some new ones, then learned how things don't come apart like they should :). He asked for how...

Pole Barn vs Stick built - which one ?

I really don't understand the fear of pole construction.... Wood in the ground is holding up many schools, hospitals, and other significant structures; and has for many decades (think pilings). Water and dirt don't take out wood, fungus does.... I think the biggest issue is people don't...

    Multi-tube shop vac?

I have used plastic and PVC in the past, but always run a bare copper wire through the pipe and attach it to ground, this helps control the static buildup.

Drilling holes in 2 post columns?

On most of these lifts the slide blocks are on the corners of the carrier, allowing items to protrude in the center sections. I have a number of holes where things are mounted (air pipe, conduit, outlets, hose storage, etc). Just make sure you are clear of the slides, and the hydro lines/power.

Pole Barn 12' 13' or 14' side walls

Bigger doors help with the "boxy" look, andwith the scale. Big buildings with small doors, look even bigger. I have 14 ft side walls, and put in 14x14 doors. Really helped the aesthetics, and I can fit just about anything in the building.

Warning : Do NOT use Simple Green in parts washers

I use Agitene, only because Varsol is hard to get a hold of these days. I used to even smoke while cleaning parts, maybe that wasnt a good idea:eyecrazy:. Don't claim to be all that smart.

    Grizzly - Quality Control

For the record, I don't think this grinder is junk, it is actually quite nice, and I have some faith it will last. It is the basic QC issues and lack of customer service that drove me to rant. It's been over two weeks since the thing showed up. I have called 3 times, all with very long hold...
