    Carriage door holder/limiter

Thank you for your insight. I purchased the hinges from, Tucker Industrial Specialty Hardware and they are from Richard-Wilcox. They are ball bearing hinges and operate amazing. Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

    Carriage door holder/limiter

Slowly getting there with my project. I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions for a door holder/limiter/stop for my garage doors. I need something that will limit how open they go and to keep them all locked open if I want to air the building out or for cleaning. Don't need fancy...

Flat roof detached garage, roof insulation.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it. Do you guys have any preference between R-19 or R-21? R-19 would mostly like bow out a little after stapling I would imagine and the R-21 would have a slight air gap on top. I am considering getting the kraft style insulation and stapling them to the 1x6...

Flat roof detached garage, roof insulation.

They are not the type that come with chain, I'll have to see what they are rated for. Thanks for your input.

Flat roof detached garage, roof insulation.

I have a block 18x20 garage that I need to insulate the roof in preparation for the cold, the roof has true 2x6 beams. I am on a majorly low budget, so spray foam and other "exotic" methods aren't possible (I wish). I have no provisions for a vent so I would assume that filling the roof with...

    Rotary phase converter needs?

After looking into it further, I think I found the most cost effective solution thanks to you guys (I appreciate it). Since we already have a 1hp rotary converter for the bridgeport, I can share it with the surface grinder so the only other machine I have to worry about is the lathe. For the...

    Rotary phase converter needs?

The lathe does not have a clutch, and as far as actual speed I am unsure as there really isn't much information on the net on this particular lathe. The motor is rated at 1735rpm and it is an 8 speed lathe if that helps anyone that is more familiar. VFD is looking like it may be a nice option...

    Rotary phase converter needs?

Just picked up a 16" south bend lathe from the sixties and a B&S surface grinder for our shop and am having a difficult time picking a rotary 3 phase converter. I initially was going to order a phoenix 5hp unit seeing that our bridgeport is only 1hp, the lathe being a 3hp, and the surface...
