I think someone mentioned that as a possibility. I wonder what the jack looks like. Another post has me wanting to go through my ratchets and compare them because I know many of them are old as well .

I did a brief search but will try again I've managed to collect a lot of unusual and typically vintage tools whose purpose I don't know. Sometimes it's difficult to search one if you don't have a general idea what it might be. It's often quite a surprise when I discover what they're for.

Adjustable wrenches are my last resort; you just can't trust them to stay at the point you need them. Nothing worse than a fickle tool.
