Whats funny is when I painted it I could of very easily filled the screw holes but I didn't know if they were used for something that I never seen before,so I left it. The screws are 3/4 long and were separate from the jaw pins.Maybe I'll fix it someday when I'm bored lol

I've been learning slowly, not to long my buddy gave me an old logging saw and said I soaked it in vinegar like the internet said. It did hardly anything. So he said do whatever you want.... so I experimented. After all that he paints it!! Lol

Yes, that's right. All I could find on a quick search was it was #45 in the 1916 B&S catalogue I'm not familiar with that.

    Baby disston

RTM, thank you. Yes there is etching in the center of the blade in like a half moon says Henery Disston & son's alitte below it says Philadelphia USA, it's kind of hard to see what else by eye. Any pointers on how I may be able to see more? If I put wd40 or simple green on it and put it under...

    Collectable?

That's a good way to look at it d.farland. The old man that's name is etched on it was actually my buddies nextdoor neighbor that passed away this year. The family asked him to clear the garage and keep whatever. No matter the find. So on my spare time we go through items.

This is a Disston and sons blade. I can't make all the etching out nor have I seen one this little. Not sire about the handle either. Any information would be fantastic.

Does anyone collect micrometers? It's old, and one the otherside "WALT" tagged it so probably no value.

Thank you Kenc184!! I saved it from the scrap yard, it was on a trailer in a burgerking parking lot along with other scrap. I had 30 bucks on me when the guy came out he was happy to take 30...that was a few years ago
