That's definitely unique... I wouldn't even say that it's of similar nature. At least the varnish company can be tied to the tool being used for advertisement. It would still be interesting to see. Do you have a picture of it?

I've never seen an old folding rule used for advertising purposes before today. I spotted a Chapin-Stephens Co. #61 (guess based on the style of numbers) used as advertisement for an E. A. Thibaut Co. Varnish Makers Long Island City. Borough of Queens N.Y. Just curious as to if anybody else...
