Here's what I'd think the minimum starter set would look like for starter homeowner:
6' ladder (often on sale at home depot, etc.)
2' level with ruler markings, plastic (same)
budget 1/4" socket set (like the $10 kobalt set)

I think a lot of people think a low price means too good to be true, so it's nice that you have some actual calibration history to share.
I will say that I've had good luck with mine, and I encourage many diy people I know to buy one for lugs, etc., if they have no torque...

got a set of these for christmas, and they seem pretty nice, to me. not full price, nice, but pretty good at their current price :)
your natural gas radiant heater is unvented, as in the exhaust vents into the garage? the ones I am familiar with draw outside air and vent outside also.
is there a torque limit that constitutes a "frozen fastener?"
I understand common sense, which I believe many in this thread are trying to inject, but I think that a wrench's length should be indicative of its strength. if the mechanism in these wrenches isn't strong enough to hold up to 60...

sorry to bump this ancient thread, but I'm having the exact same debate currently. installation instructions say that a through wall installation should extend 18" past the wall, which is brick in my case, and on the front of my house.
