well update on the drill press. Its working great and I am happy with it. I have done a few odd jobs with it. The only thing I need to do is polish up the 3 handles that have the knobs on the end.

Well I got the drill press put back together. There is still some fine detail still left to do but for the most part done. Now all I need is a vise for it and a good set of new drill bits.

Haha no i didnt that is just a pipe i had laying around that i used to knock the column out of the bottome plate because i forgot that cast clamp peice that the set screw pushes on to put presser on the column. Stupid me.
Well I got a lot done on the press this weekend. A bit of sand blasting, a bit powder coating, a bit of polishing, and a little bit of assembly. Tonight it should be all together but not 100% done. More pic tonight but here is a teaser.

I used a palm sander. I started with 80 grit and worked my way down to 1000. On the courser paper I dry sanded then on the finer I wet sanded. I cant remember all the grits I have but maybe 8 different ones.
