I use Milwaukee professionally. I have ryobi for the home shop, ive been pretty impressed so far. I'm sure the bauer stuff is fine too though, there are lots of youtubers using their stuff pretty hard because harbor freight is a big sponsor.
I’ve been busy with other stuff at work and haven’t had a chance to set up and use the frame puller yet. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some pictures of it in action soon.
My boss was reminiscing about working in his uncle’s body shop during his teens and early twenties. He mentioned how he wish he had this “homemade” frame straightener his uncle used to have to fix some damage to one of our company vans. As he’s describing the tool to me I realized it must be...
Hey Jim, Its Pat. I plow the yard for the company I work at, we also have a gravel storage lot I have to clear. I usually just position the plow straight and lift it up an inch or 2, if I hear scraping I lift more. Then just drive over whats left a few times. The idea is not to actually plow...
I emailed Challenger basically because I saw them being used by a bunch of my favorite youtubers and the prices seemed decent. They set me up with a local installer that specialized in home garage installations. Everything went well, been using the lift weekly since last spring. Im happy with...
While there are cheap grinding/cutting discs out there I find most accidents with grinders are the result of improper use/technique. I’ve had good and bad cutting discs come apart before and it’s always the result me doing something I shouldn’t have.
This is pretty much what was going to say. Find a piece of metal already the right thickness and drill some holes. If the OD is less critical you could cut that out with an angle grinder and only drill the center hole.
The proto wrenches are still showing $24 for me. I ordered a set this morning, we’ll see what happens. Also I’ve never really had a problem with eBay, they’ve always made things right for me when there was a problem.
If they won’t sell I just list them as free and put them out by the curb. It’s easier than me or my wife driving to goodwill and it works 90% of the time. If it doesn’t work, goodwill or trash/scrap
I’ve used mine on alloy rims and big off-road truck tires. Not sure about something like skid steer tires. I also haven’t had a chance to try it on low profile car tires yet but my wife’s Lexus needs tires soon so we’ll see.
I made a copy of the hf manual tire machine with the duckbill mod using some old boiler pipe and flanges. I love it, works great. I also have a hand spin model balancer I use with it. I have anchors in the floor that serve double duty to secure the tire machine or the tube bender. When not...
What kind of scraper is this and where can I pick up a couple extra blades? I’ve searched google and I can’t find anything close but I remember seeing this old Tony hold one up in a video once. He didn’t give any information about it though.
