While there are cheap grinding/cutting discs out there I find most accidents with grinders are the result of improper use/technique. I’ve had good and bad cutting discs come apart before and it’s always the result me doing something I shouldn’t have.

This is pretty much what was going to say. Find a piece of metal already the right thickness and drill some holes. If the OD is less critical you could cut that out with an angle grinder and only drill the center hole.

I’ve used mine on alloy rims and big off-road truck tires. Not sure about something like skid steer tires. I also haven’t had a chance to try it on low profile car tires yet but my wife’s Lexus needs tires soon so we’ll see.

That is true, but 5 years is a long time. I still don't think it would matter to me. Most of my Milwaukee stuff 5 years or older has been replaced due to better performance of newer models anyway. But you are right; you could squeeze out a few more months of warranty if you had legitimate...

Pretty much all Milwaukee tools carry a 5 year manufacture warranty that does not require any proof of purchase and is stupid easy to use. I don’t know that a vendors warranty would mean anything to me.

One of the things I liked about the one aluminum handle I do have is the 2 pieces are machined to fit together better than the swaged steel handle.

I bought the pittsburg 3 ton aluminum jack in question last weekend. I unfortunately got another steel handle.
