Many thanks to Lauver for this information. I have been wondering about this little hand vise. Now I know it was manufactured by Miller Falls. I haven't found a tool catalog that shows it but I believe it is mid-'60s. Anyway, thanks again for this thread.

I'm wondering where I should look for both a good quality wire wheel and a buffing wheel that would work on my bench grinder if anyone can advise me on it. Right now it has the two different grit 7" grinding wheels on it. They will be on it for the most part but I would like to be able to...
Do the magnets on those racks magnetize the sockets at all? If so, do you find that there is a problem with metal bits sticking to them or the socket trying to attract things you don't want them to? I don't know if they use all that strong of magnet on the racks.
I've had some experience...
The end vise is on and the bench is nearly finished. Just need to drill some bench dog holes but didn't have it in me today to do the drilling after wrestling with that vise for about two hours.
Setting a Record today. Well, a Record 52 1/2 anyways. :) I spent some time building a new woodworking bench recently and have already set my Old Columbian woodworking vise into it. I took the time yesterday to tear this old Record vise apart to clean and lube it. It's working very smooth...
Digging through some old tools and come up with these three 1/4" Tee handles. I have five 1/4" Mustang sockets as well. I'm as old as dirt but these predate me a few years I think. :) Wonder if they are hard to find these day or not?
I've had an older Cub. My 2544 seems faster for most things I do with it. I have moved/spread truckloads of dirt, sand, gravel, and compost with it no problem. I wouldn't have been able to do those tasks as fast and as easy with the older model I had.
I have a 2007 2544. It's a monster. Burns the fuel though. 21 hp with hydrostatic drive. It has a 44" mower deck, 30" hydraulic tiller with electric actuator lift, Johnny bucket Jr on the front with electric actuator lift, and I made a sleeve hitch for it using an old Craftsman hitch and it...
Re: In Ground Petrolium Storage Tank Removal
Two years and $38,000 later I finally got the file closed on a diesel spill stain about 3'x6' and about a foot deep. The stain was most likely caused by a diesel truck crossover from tank to tank. When the truck was parked on a slight incline to...
