Looking at the photo, do you think the condition and age of the roof warrants the cost of replacement? This is the only metal roof I have experience with and I'm not sure how many years one could expect a metal roof to last before the crows start falling through.

Does the crack in your apron line up with the crack through the rest of the slab? And were the apron and slab poured on different days? If so, I find that strange and want to draw attention to that before people chime in.

I think 3 lbs per gallon is all you need. You can probably get 4 lbs to per gallon to dissolve. Anything more and I find it hard to get it to dissolve completely. A neighbor of mine has started using RV antifreeze and water. It's non-toxic and easy to work with but you don't get the extra weight.
