I found this a few days ago.

Nice! There were Western Auto stores in many of the towns here in N.E. Pretty cool that that kit has nothing missing after all these years.

    Craftsman Swing Saw

There's something to be said for having the only one on the block. I recognize the appeal of those solid old C.I. tools.

    Craftsman Swing Saw

Yikes! In the 4th image you can see a hand under the sawblade shortly before it was severed. Interesting relic, but I wouldn't try to put it to use. I don't see anything that looks like a handle for swinging the saw through the cut. Does the bed slide through the blade like a crosscut sled on...

Just got this old Delta bandsaw from a friend...

That thing is a beast. Pretty sure you can still find the block that allows more height above the table for re-sawing. Good luck with the restoration.

Hello Lug, Here's another attempt with those photos. I've got the seal kit on the way, and I'm already painting some of the parts. See ya, Ron

Nice to think that our widows will sell off our "junk" at $10 a bucket. Serves us right.

    Ajax bumper jack

Hi Lug, I'm working with Lazzar's to identify and hopefully buy restoration parts for the bumper jack. I've got it torn down and will get info to you as the process advances. No luck with the e-mail address you PM'd me. Regards, Ron

    Ajax bumper jack

Lug, Sorry that attaching photos is so complicated. If I don't figure it out, I'd be willing to send them directly to your e-mail. If I can get some help getting this monster into the basement, I'll start dis-assembly. Let me know Ron

    Ajax bumper jack

Lug, I'm going to try to download some photos here. If the dates you mentioned earlier are correct, then I've got to assume that this item is from before 1946. If I get the mechanical restoration underway, I'll trace and try to duplicate the decals and labels. I've got to wait for some better...

    Ajax bumper jack

Hello, I'll get some photos posted tonight. If you've got any degree of familiarity with this thing, I'd be grateful for a push in the right direction. Even though I don't drive any vehicles that can be lifted by the bumpers, the arms on this thing look like they'd reach in to some other...

    Ajax bumper jack

Hello, I'm a new member, and found this site while searching for some information on a bumper jack I'd like to restore. There are a few threads detailing some nifty floor jacks, and now I'll end up looking for one of those to restore too! The jack I've acquired is marked AJAX, and the...

    Vintage Floor Jacks

Hello, Was looking for information about an old AJAX bumper jack I've acquired. The instruction label mentions controlling the air pressure to raise and lower the vehicle, but I'm ashamed to say that I can't find the connection for an air hose. The unit is old and heavy with 2 metal swivel...
