    Father's Day 2016

My father died when I was a mere 15 years of age. Although I have many memories of him, celebrating Fathers Day is not one of them. I would do a lot of special things for him if it were possible. What I will do is cherish the memories that I have of him and in his honor I strive to be the best...

Sears is considering selling the Craftsman brand

Reading thru this thread, it seems like the biggest issue for some is that if Sears goes under, the Craftsman brand goes under as well and folks who bought tools are left with no warranty. Value of this table saw?

Looks like a decent saw, fence looks good, but used. Overall looks sturdy. How's the motor? What's the rip capacity? How old? I'd offer $200-$300?

Sears is considering selling the Craftsman brand

Corporate America, for the most part, has no desire to manufacture tools, clothes or any other item if they can have it made cheaper overseas. Hence, my no de$ire statement. On another note, I love Craftsman tools. Grew up with them. My first tool set, bought in 1972 was Craftsman and I still...

Sears is considering selling the Craftsman brand

Oh we have the ability alright, just not the de$ire. It's all about economics. America can put men on the moon and bring them back, don't tell me we can't make a damn screwdriver. Have faith in your country.
