    4 Post Lift Shopping

Same here, from Greg Smith. I bought the jack, but never used it, and sold it. I don't do much repair, just use for storage. Ralph

Framing a load bearing wall on post frame slab

Not sure I understand your construction detail, but do you live in an area of expansive soil? I know in our area, you cannot directly frame on slab, and have to leave a 3" expansion area in the stud walls. Maybe your design accounts for this, or you have no expansive soil issues.

Bolting down a 4 post lift

I used the epoxy assist for the bolts. No problem after years installed. I wanted them tied down also, rather than any tip or movement issues. Ralph

    High water pressure

I'm with Tim. Looks like a backflow prevention valve. Ralph

Selling only to the trade (Radon Mitigation)

Just curious, why do you need a water radon system. I am familiar with the sub-slab-****, and ground radon issues, but never heard of water having dangerous amounts of radon. Also, there is quite a controversy as to there is any evidence that radon is harmful, regardless of EPA pronouncements.

Experience with an electro-mechanical 2 post lift?

Everything I have ever owned that was made by Bosch was a quality product. Never suspected they were into auto lifts. Ralph

    Winterizing a lawn irrigation system?

I see recommended above using only 40-50 lbs pressure to operate your sprinkler system. Around my neck of the woods the home improvement guys on tv/radio recommend using more water pressure to operate the sprinkler system. They suggest tying sprinkler connection into city main supply ahead of...

    Lennox LR-24, 45K NG.

Anyone have any experience with Lennox garage heaters? The builder is installing this unit in my daughter's new condo in Helena, Mt. I had always heard of Lennox in whole house units, but didn't know they made stuff for the garage. Any comments? Ralph.

    Car Maintance tracking

I'm with Signcrafter on this. I am too old to change. I write my info in the back pages of the owner's manual that lives in the glove compartment. A couple of years ago when I bought a new Honda, I looked through the owner's manual to check the maintenance schedule. There was no...

What Shoes Do You Wear in the Garage

The cheapest Walmart specials I can find. My limit is usually about $10, either dress or sneakers. I am retired, and have long since worn out my dress wingtips and other fine shoes in the garage. During that period, I was told by friends that I was the best shoed mechanic they had ever seen...

The new 50k Big Maxx heaters reliability

I would think just a lemon. I've had their Big Maxx 80k unit installed for about 3 months now and it works perfectly. Good luck. Ralph

2 post lift in 30x40x10ft sides

I'm with Hacker. If you are still in the planning phase, you have several options to keep the outside wall height within your specs. Here is what I did, but the garage was already built, so it was a little more difficult. Good luck, Ralph.

Brand New Titan 7000 4 Post Lift!

Sounds like you are set up. Couldn't tell from pictures if you were maxed out. I have to be careful not to put my car into the attic. Ralph

Brand New Titan 7000 4 Post Lift!

Looks like you could use a little ceiling cutout above the Camaro, unless your bedroom is up there. In that case, you could call the bump a coffee table. Ralph
