this is just my 2 cents, i work on tirechangers, balancers and lifts for work. the biggest things are parts availability and not getting a balancer with a 36mm shaft, you want a 40mm shaft. we get inquiries to fix or get parts for these machines all the time and we have had very little luck...
be very careful of the lift you get and read the specs, some of the lifts used in shops need the overhead lifted over then on top so to install you will need extra space than it says on the specs. also some of the max heights they list may be slightly off especially if you have uneven floors and...
never understood the appeal of them. i like that they are made here in canada but the tools ive used by them (ratchets and sockets mainly) were crude and bulky and low tooth count with high back drag. all with a large price tag-no thanks
i just got one an i am still experimenting but the best one i found was a powdered parts cleaner for those high pressure parts washers. we get ours from a local company but im sure there are some similar ones out there
there are much better products on the market. a business must always adapt and change, it may not take a company down right away but not evolving will eventually take a company down. it is not 50 years ago.
channellock is good but not the best at a good price. the quality punches above the price. however the downside is that the company is slow to evolve, and if you dont evolve as a business you will fail eventually. i hope they change because they are capable of evolving and becoming better
was a cook for 7 years then realized how garbage it was then decided to try HD mechanics, did my pre-app/first year while working at a lube shop for experience. took a job working for a landscaping company working on anything and everything. bosses were not good so i started looking else where...
with any low to midprice tool provider you need to look at the product itself because they come from all over, one brand might have better sockets but crappier pliers, or even better chrome sockets but worse impact sockets
