They work...

    New Heat install

You think an electric split mini would be more effeciant and cheaper to run that Natural Gas? I'm heating my house and my apartment with gas forced air for 300 a month on the budget with a couple of free months, my electric bill is over 500 a month now.

2 post car lift - lifting problems

yes, hydraulics will take the path of least pressure, so if one side is heavier than the other, the only way to keep it level is with the cable adjustment. I have my 2 post set up totally independent of each other because my right post is on an I-beam trolly so I can push it to the wall and get...

Tall floor jacks as an (inconvenient) vehicle lift

seems like a lot of work to me, unless the car is going to stay up there for a month or so. 2 post lifts show up quite often for sale from 500-2000, maybe I'm just old and lazy, but I love my lifts. I had a 2 post at home for probably 20 years, and I just bought a 4 post to basically add a stall...

Raising rafter ties on Saltbox style garage roof.

Just looking at your pictures, it doesn't look like you have enough clearance to the rafters for a lift. What type of vehicle are you trying to lift?
