    pex vs copper

Plumber of 30 years here. Pex is the way to go these days. I can refute just about any so called shortcomings that people insist on when it comes to Pex. We've put it in multi-million dollar high rise condos with no issues. You can get short lengths just like copper. If you're worried about...

Cool. I bought this T/A from a guy in Odessa. Clean with no rust in the usual places.

It's a 79 with a 400/4speed. I like the color combo of your T/A. I've been following your build thread for a while. Where is Merkel?

    French Drain Pipe

Been a plumber for over 20 years, and have run thousands of feet of French drain. Holes definatley go down, preferably two rows at about 5:00 and 7:00. The pipe AND the gravel will flow the water.

    Pressure Testing CPVC

Testing any PVC pipe with air is dangerous. It should really be tested hydrostatically(with water).

    Hiball's Seller Feedback.

Bought a Wright screwdriver set from Hiball. It was my 1st Garagejournal purchase, and I gotta say, I hope all future purchases go that smoothly. Superfast responses, excellent communication, nicely packaged. Will definitely buy from him again!

    Miller's Falls Whatsit

The convex end helps "dig into" the steel beam, and the other hole is for threading all thread rod into for hanging pipe, duct, etc. We use tons of those in the plumbing/HVAC trades.
