Need help with Stihl FS45 trimmer (weedeater)

The fuel is the problem. You will have the same problem no matter what the make. It has been explained to me that pump gas will be stale in 7 -8 weeks. The gas companies can make longer lasting gas but consumers won't pay the price for it. Today's pump gas is not a problem for use in cars...

Way to clean small carb jets the right way.

As a STIHL dealer we use an ultrasonic cleaner. If it does not come clean in a few hours then it is time for a new carb. When carbs are only about a cubic inch (in physical size) the passages are incredibly small.

    Ladder - stand offs?

I bought the Werner from HD when I was installing and painting the siding on the shop. It is the best addition you can get for an extension ladder. Usually when I am high up in the ladder, I have a tendency to lay flat against the ladder, which means that the wall I am up against is next to my...

    Garage lighting 16'x21' w/ 8' ceilings - T8 or LED

I just completed by garage (35x40) last fall and I installed 24 - 8 foot sections with 2 fluorescent tubes each at a cost about $500.00 with the commercial grade T8's fixtures and bulbs. I purchased them at the local electrical supply house. The new commercial grade fixtures have digital...

    Garage sink ideas, need em'

Good idea on having the water heater under sink. When I built the garage I planned on using a kitchen SS sink in a 6 foot cabinet with the water heater hidden inside the cabinet. I put blocking in the wall behind its current location at the time of construction. But things changed when I got...

NAPA makes sockets designed specifically for this. Most tire stores have them. Take it to them and have them remove it.

buried steel pipe expansion caused leak

Hydraulic line will work fine. It will withstand the elements and last forever. Just make sure one of the end has a swivel. I have hydraulic line from the the air line to my hose reels and we out fitted a Rescue Squad garage with hydraulic line as air line drops from the ceiling several years...
