    6 point combination wrenches

6-pt sounds like the better option, but I've never felt like I needed them that much. The rare few fasteners I've rounded something with a 12-pt wrench were so far seized/crossthreaded/overtightened that having a 6-pt wrench wouldn't have mattered.

    Thinwall impact sockets

Another vote for a Snappy set. Mine: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=645219&group_ID=675681&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog Never had a problem with being too thick, yet I've never broken one, even when breaking off cross-threaded lug nuts.

What is the best adjustable oil filter cap wrench?

Here's a vote for the Craftsman, would be lost at work without it. Gets borrowed daily for those filters that cups and pliers won't move. The HF version has the right idea, but the little red socks are worthless and doesn't have enough reach. The Lisle wrenches are great except for the little...

Show us a hand tool that is unique to your profession!

Yeah sorry, as was said, can't just stab these :D GM Ecotec filters are the same way, special socket and all. As for specialty tools (all makes, not just Toyota), it depends on the job you're doing. I find that the majority are the "makes the job easier/faster" type. Personally, I'll happily...

Show us a hand tool that is unique to your profession!

Used to remove oil filters on newer Toyota/Lexus/ect. vehicles. Has no other use, and no practical substitute.

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Is that a set of wheel lock keys I see? Totally jealous if it is! Also, nice locking extensions

Line Wrench Doesn't Fit Over Line, Crowsfoot Line Wrench Does

I've run into this on occasion, mostly on brake bleeder screws. Had one bleeder where a Craftsman RP 10mm 6pt wouldn't fit, but a Pro 12pt would. Not sure if it was down to tolerances in the wrenches, or production quality of the bleeder...

    Show your new tool arrivals

This is the exact handle swap I've been thinking about, looks good  Is the swap as straightforward as I've read? Any advise?

need a good set of combo wrenches

Has anyone suggested a set of Craftsman Professional wrenches yet? They're good value for what you get, pretty well made, has the extra length over RP wrenches, feel nice in your hand, and easily replaced if you break one. There are also some USA-made sets still floating around...

    Ford 1715 tractor pentagon socket

How tight are these bolts? Personally, I'd try one of those Gator Grip sockets, lol. Probably not a popular answer, but I have one and use it on Honda/Acura spare tire hoists (five-sided crank). Works every time.

    Alignment tools

Frame angle gauge can be the cool magnetic kind, the cheap dial type, or do like most guys I know and get an angle finder app for your phone! Dunno about specific ride height gauges, I've most often used a tape measure and the specs for the vehicle.

whats you thought's on Lisle tools

Not a fan of their bit sockets, but just about everything else they make is awesome. Around my shop, the Lisle inner tie rod set, disconnect set, spill-free funnel, and dual pad spreader get used daily.

Is there such a thing as a good oil filter wrench?

I know some guys here aren't a big fan of the 3-jaw style wrench, but I use mine every day and love it (mine says Craftsman, but pretty sure it's all the same thing). Fits every size of filter on passenger cars, doesn't let go, and can be combined with extensions/universal joints to get to...

    snap on FHNF100

Love it! Have been pretty mean to it sometimes, no worse off for it. The direction switch isn't as intuitive as the switch on a Dual 80, but I've gotten used to it.

    TPMS reset tool ?

We have a Snap-On TPMS3 tool at work, does an amazing job with lots of vehicles, but it's way too pricey for home use. The manual reset procedure on GM's isn't that bad once you've done it a few times. And $5 a tire? If it's a car I've done tire work to, I'll reset it for free...
