My new toy has rims that have the lugs offset so it looks like im going to have to buy a thinwall lug nut socket, any recommendations?

If you need thin you can't go wrong with Snap-On thinwall impact, but if it's more about protecting the wheel paint I would get a Sunex impact with protective sleeve. What size do you need?

I have a set of matco thin walls that I use for a few years when I was a tire tech at sears. They seemed to work great and I haven't broken one yet.

I cant remember off hand, 1/2 inch I think. Where's the best place to get the Sunex and how thin are they, theres not much room between the hub and lug.

Edit, maybe i should refresh more and watch movie less Thanks oldwizard!

I've got a few of the Snappy/BP metric thin flip sockets. I use 'em on pretty much every lug nut, and I like the 17/19, 19/21 and 21/22 sizing better than the 19/ 3/4, 21/ 13/16 sizes most others are... If I guess the lug size wrong, I've still got the right one! :p

Only sucky part is that with the 17/19, the 17mm side doesn't fit my short extension without the female end bottoming out against the socket, so I can't really use the 19mm end... but I pretty much know what uses 17mm lugs, so that's all I use it for.

I haven't busted one yet using them with a gun and torque sticks.
