    Sometimes you get lucky

Nice find. Picked up a set of NOS SK flare nut wrenches at the local tool supply. Sole proprietor, mid 80's and still showing up to open the shop. He's just there to sell what's left in stock. And...the prices are right.

    5 ton swap out

Equipment and materials availability is a factor too. At that price you should get quick, professional install. Hold 'em to it.

Looking at jack stands for diesel pickups

Would purpose built cribbing work for you? I made about a dozen blocks using 3) 10" x 4" x 4" and 2) 10" x 10" x 3/4" plywood. Deck screws to hold it together and a piece of air hose on the side for a handle. Since you know the optimum height for tire rotation, just build four blocks.

    Infinite Switch Catalog

Allpoints and Partstown probably have what you need. Robertshaw makes a lot of the infinite switches used in commercial cooking equipment. https://www.allpointsfps.com/search/?searchterms=infinite%20swstch https://www.partstown.com/parts?q=infinite%20switch

Craftsman 19.2V tools - battery nightmare

Did you get a new charger with the Li on batteries? IIRC the Ni cad charger would not work correctly with the Li on batteries.

    AC just runs & runs/never cycles on/off

The temperature of the small copper line should be close to the outside ambient temp. If it is hotter, then your condenser is dirty. How do you know if the condenser is clean? When you clean it. I've seen way too many condensers that LOOK clean only to have a muddy river wash out of it.

    Ac charging.

hvacR tech here. Portable scale is all I use. You do have to make sure the manifold gauges, scale and tank do not get bumped/moved while charging or the reading will be off. Always weight the tank before and after to confirm how much refrigerant you used.

Question about house central A/C drain

You should be able to cut it back enough to have a gap between the end of the pvc and the outside wall of the gutter. At least an inch. There should be a p-trap at the airhandler to prevent bugs from getting inside.

a solution for my meat grinder auger

Drilling the auger to insert a pin would potentially allow bacteria to grow. The pin would need to be welded or loose enough to be removed for cleaning. There will always be a wear part/ weak link.

    Suggested AC Repairs/Maintenance

114k miles on a Super Duty? Yep, I'd say it's worth fixing. My 01 Ram Cummins needed the AC evap replaced at about 400k. My only concern was if the dash would stay together. It did, and I replaced the entire AC system (parts from Rockauto), Now at 560k the tappet cover gasket needs replaced.
